 In the automotive history, the Bugatti name unquestionably represents the very vertex of mechanical ingenuity combined with artistic creativity. Furthermore, an unparalleled string of successes in the most famous competitions world-wide has boosted the birth of the Bugatti myth. Since the early days, this fusion of speed, mechanical sophistication,
elegance and design at an artistic level prompted Bugatti connaisseurs
to found a Club: the Bugatti Owners Club, established in 1928 in
the United Kingdom, was the first of its kind dedicated to one make.
Between 1910 and 1950 the Molsheim factory produced less than 8000
cars, and we believe around 1500 of them survive. The passion was
not tarnished by the closure of the Molsheim factory, indeed since
the early post WWII years the appreciation of Ettore Bugatti’s
work increased. Notwithstanding the difficulties, with the support
of the various clubs enthusiasts of many countries kept the Marque’s
traditions alive, promoting throughout the world the interest for
these unique cars. Every year, a Bugatti Club host the International Bugatti Meeting, undoubtedly the most important Bugatti event of the year. |
