Ettore Bugatti at Ferrara May 12-14, 2000 Exactly 100 years after, with the “Ferrara Office” Club organization, the Bugatti Club Italia evoked the meeting between the young Ettore Bugatti and the Gulinelli brothers. Bugatti tells that he has been hosted during the late summer of 1900 by the Counts Gulinelli. This is when the project of his first new car Type2 has been materialized. The Counts Gulinelli had an important racing stable of Pure Sang near the “Estense” city where Bugatti was hosted and where he “fell in love” with the horses. Before the two sons and two nephews of Ettore Bugatti, Thèrese with Geneviève and Michèl with Emanuel and some other descendants of the Gulinelli family, a commemorative plate has been set at Gulinelli palace as a memory of the friendship between the two families. Around twenty Bugattis have been hosted in the splendid province of Ferrara on the research of suggestive places, like the delta of Po river, the Castle of the Mesola, Voghenza with the Museum of the historical modelling and the natural oasis Le Pradine.
